TADDAA!!!!
This was the finished article! Well from my previous PC build anyway, the new one isn’t much different! I can safely say this PC is brilliant!
Now for installing the Operating system. I’ve been a Windows user for over 15 years now, nothing comes close in my experience in terms of ease of use & reliability. This version of Windows (Windows 7) is the latest & is called Home Premium, which is in the middle of the range & suited for Media & everyday use PC’s. I can also transfer this to another PC build if & when I upgrade.
After a quick browse of AV forums, I chose the Addon card for all the TV. I bought this, a Hauppage WinTV HVR4000. It adds freeview & freesat HD capability to any PC capable of doing so.
I replaced the existing case & CPU fans & added much quieter fans. The rotation speed of the case fans are controlled by the motherboard depending on the case temperature, or PWM case fans for the technical.
I do have A gaming rig used for when My Nephews come round to play computer games (which isn’t often sadly) I named it W.O.P.R. after the Computer in a film called ‘Wargames’ (My eldest nephew suggested I gave it a name, so I humoured him!)
Spec of the Gaming rig is below.
Akasa Eclipse 62 Full ATX PC Case.
