About me.

Right, You’ve seen a piccy of me on the home page, so the lord only knows why I've put a whole page about myself on here, in order to make myself interesting to the opposite sex perhaps? or to beat my own trumpet, who knows? Anyway here goes, a bit about me instead going on about the Grimleyplex.!

I’m 44 years old & single (have been for donkeys years!), Essex born & bred. I still live at home with my folks (sad I know).

I am rather shy & quiet towards anyone I don’t really know (at first) some people at work & at the places I deliver to weekly, think I’m a moody sod who tells crap jokes!! But people who do know me seem to think (god knows why??) that I am a keen, honest and hard working person who takes pride in his work. I care deeply about my family & the people I love.

I do listen to peoples problems & I give advice to them where I can. I also don’t lie as this gets me into trouble! I’m also a man of my word & try to keep a promise when I can, honesty is the best policy I always say.

I do have a particularly dry & sarcastic sense of humour, which I use often & is an acquired taste (so is ARSENIC I hear you all cry.)

My bad points? OK, I admit it, I have a rather short fuse when I’m kept waiting & when things go wrong. I sometimes (though I have learned as I’ve got older) open my mouth before engaging brain, which has upset some people in the past. My sweet tooth gets me into trouble as well (I usually eat all the sweet things in the house).

I’m currently working for a national work wear rental company based in south east Essex, driving a crappy builders van disguised as a 7.5 ton lorry (the worst vehicle I’ve ever driven in 23 years of driving!) delivering/collecting clean/dirty overalls, roller towels & dust mats to factories, garages, car dealers, small businesses, shops & supermarkets. My round is in north east Essex / central Suffolk. It’s hard work & a 5 a.m. start most weekdays, but it did pay better than similar jobs in the laundry trade. The small independent Laundry I had worked for since May 2001 was sold off to its bigger competitor in April 2005.I may have to give up the job eventually as the job is giving me back & knee problems.

In most of my spare time, I do volunteer work. I've been a member of my local Lions Club since January 2007, which basically does fund raising for various local & international charities, as well as volunteer work for the local community (Gives me something to do!) I’m the club’s web master, the site name is www.lionsclubofcastlepoint.co.uk . It basically says what our club does & has done, what lions is all about & a few other things too! see for yourself!
(click on the Lions logo for my club web site on the links page.)

There’s a link here with me in the local paper! (with a Lions club project I did recently.)

When I'm not doing what's described above or working full-time, I'm decorating, running errands  for my folks, spending time with my sister & 2 Nephews (Aged 9 & 12) or spending time on the web on the several or so discussion forums that I'm a member of!

Hobbies? I'm a bit of a Geek (building or fixing computers for myself, my family or friends) I do follow the footy/various sports & drink beer as well just like most blokes, but not drink 'till I throw up or pass out! (I'm not a yobbo you know!)

That’s a brief summary, I could tell you more but I’d crash this site telling you more about me...

Well that's it, thanks for looking, Good luck & happy bidding! Er... This is Ebay isn't it....

No its not Ebay, I hear you all say, just have a look round the rest of the site with my compliments!

Please note that most of the small pics I’ve taken on here can be viewed slightly larger (640x480 pixels) by clicking on them. Sorry they’re not any larger -  I don’t want to waste your internet bandwidth allowance!
